Thomas Cole National Historical Site
An interactive painting exploring, A River in the Catskills, painted by Thomas Cole in 1843. Cole founded the Hudson River School of Painting. We are developing a game in collaboration with Middle School teachers and students. It features a branching narrative, providing multiple primary source perspectives. The historical context of America in the 1840's is brought to life while exploring Cole's painting.
